Tripod Modification
I also modify tripod legs to accommodate spikes and other screw in feet. I recently upgraded my new Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 to accept spikes. Very useful when on landscape photography shoots where the ground has long grass or has loose ground where the spikes can penetrate giving a solid grip.
